Do I have to travel by boat?
Journeying to Anantara Dhigu by speedboat is the most convenient option, as it's just a 30-minute ride from Malé International Airport.
However, if you're interested in exploring the Malé Atoll from the sky, private seaplane transfers can be arranged through the resort. It's important to keep in mind that these options are considerably expensive.
Despite this, there are distinct advantages to opting for a boat transfer:
- Unlike seaplanes, boats can journey at night, alleviating concerns about late arrivals of international flights
- Waiting for the transfer to commence is typically minimal, as the boat is often ready upon your arrival
- Boat transfers are significantly more economical compared to domestic flights or seaplane transfers
- You are only bound by the luggage restrictions of your international flight, eliminating additional baggage concerns
