How to get to Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives

Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives can be reached from Malé airport via two options: a scenic 25-minute seaplane flight or an 80-minute speedboat transfer.

We generally recommend opting for the seaplane experience.

Please note that there are no domestic flight transfers available to Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives, as there are no domestic airports.

Cinnamon Velifushi Location

Cinnamon Velifushi is located in the Vaavu Atoll, approximately 76 kilometres (47 miles) south of Malé.

Your Arrival at Malé Airport (MLE)

After arriving at Malé's Velana International Airport and completing security procedures, you'll be greeted in the arrivals hall by an airport guide holding a sign for the resort. They will assist you in locating the designated area for your transfer to Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives and offer help with your luggage if required.

The mode of transportation for your onward journey will depend on your choice between a seaplane or a speedboat:

Option 1 - Seaplane to Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives

Your airport guide will escort you and your luggage to a vehicle for the short drive to the Noovilu Seaplane Terminal (NSPT). Upon arrival, you can check in and relax while awaiting your seaplane flight, with the option to enjoy close-up views of the seaplanes or unwind in the Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) lounge for an additional fee.

Cinnamon Velifushi partners with TMA, the world’s largest seaplane fleet, known for its reliability, to provide guest transfers. The scenic flight takes around 25 minutes, though the duration may be slightly longer if there are stops at other resorts along the way.

Seaplanes land on the water just off the island, and guests disembark at the arrivals jetty, with resort staff on hand to assist with luggage and guide you to the island.

Option 2 - Speedboat Transfer to Cinnamon Velifushi Maldives

Your resort guide will accompany you to the marina, where you’ll board a Cinnamon-exclusive speedboat for your transfer.

The journey typically lasts around 80 minutes, with the boat offering comfortable seating for all passengers. Life jackets will be available for both guests and crew and may be required.

Sit back and enjoy the scenic ride, while resort staff take care of loading and unloading your luggage.
