How to get to Heritance Aarah

To reach Heritance Aarah from Malé airport, you have two transportation options. The first is a scenic 40-minute seaplane flight, while the second involves a 20-minute domestic transfer to a nearby airport, followed by a 45-minute speedboat ride.

Typically, we recommend the seaplane option as the preferred choice.

It's important to note that there are no boat-only transfers to Heritance Aarah due to the considerable distance from Malé (155km or 96 miles).

Heritance Aarah Location

Heritance Aarah is situated in the south of the Raa Atoll, approximately 155 kilometres (96 miles) northwest of Malé.

Your Arrival at Malé Airport (MLE)

Upon arrival at Malé airport (Velana International) in the Maldives, after completing security procedures and exiting into the arrivals hall, you'll be greeted by a warm welcome from a resort guide holding a wooden sign displaying the resort's name. They'll assist you in finding the designated area for your onward transfer to Heritance Aarah and can also help with your luggage.

The mode of transportation for your onward journey will be based on your preference, whether it's a seaplane or a domestic plane:

Option 1 - Seaplane to Heritance Aarah

Your resort guide will accompany you and your belongings to a waiting vehicle headed for the nearby seaplane terminal. Upon arrival, you can complete the check-in process and await your seaplane flight. During this time, you can admire the seaplanes up close or or relax in the Adaaran Lounge.

Heritance Aarah collaborates with Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) seaplanes for transfers to the resort. TMA boasts the world's largest seaplane fleet and a stellar reputation for reliability.

Once aboard the seaplane, anticipate a flight duration of approximately 40 minutes. However, if the plane makes stops to drop off guests at other resorts along the route, the overall transfer time may be slightly extended.

Seaplanes make a water landing near Heritance Aarah. Upon arrival, you'll disembark onto the arrivals jetty and have the convenience of walking directly to the island. Resort staff will be readily available to assist guests and manage luggage.

Option 2 - Domestic Transfer to Heritance Aarah

The nearest airport to Heritance Aarah is Dharavandhoo Airport in the nearby Baa Atoll.

Manta Air is the preferred domestic carrier, offering regular flights on air-conditioned ATR72-600 turboprop aircraft, renowned for their fuel efficiency and low greenhouse gas emissions.

The direct flight takes around 20 minutes, followed by a 45-minute speedboat transfer to reach Heritance Aarah.
