How to get to Hurawalhi Island Resort

To reach Hurawalhi Island Resort from Malé International Airport, guests embark on a scenic seaplane journey that offers a spectacular introduction to the natural beauty of the Maldives.

The seaplane transfer takes about 40 minutes, providing stunning aerial views of the archipelago’s turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and idyllic atolls.

Due to the distance from Malé, there are no boat-only transfers available to Hurawalhi Island Resort.

Hurawalhi Island Resort is situated in the northern part of the pristine Lhaviyani Atoll, approximately 149km north of Malé.

Upon arrival at Malé International Airport, guests are warmly greeted by Hurawalhi representatives, who ensure a smooth transition to the seaplane terminal.

Seaplane to Hurawalhi Island Resort

Your dedicated resort guide will assist you and your belongings into a vehicle for a 5-minute drive to the Noovilu Seaplane Terminal on the other side of the island. Upon arrival, you can proceed with the check-in process and wait for your seaplane flight, taking in close-up views of the seaplanes or relaxing in the complimentary lounge.

Hurawalhi Island Resort has its own branded seaplane, operated by Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA), which boasts the largest seaplane fleet in the Maldives and a reputation for reliability.

Once aboard the seaplane, the flight lasts approximately 40 minutes.

Seaplanes land on the water near Hurawalhi, where guests disembark onto a floating platform. From there, a boat transports guests to the island arrivals jetty. Throughout this process, resort staff are available to assist guests and handle luggage.
