How to get to Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort
How to get to Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort
You can access Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort from Malé airport via two routes: a picturesque 90-minute seaplane journey or a 55-minute domestic transfer to a nearby airport, followed by a swift 10-minute speedboat ride.
Generally, we recommend opting for the seaplane option. A seaplane to Raffles Maldives has been available since late 2023 and it is the first resort in this atoll to offer a seaplane transfer.
It's important to note that there are no boat-only transfers available to Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort because of the significant distance from Malé.

Your Arrival at Malé Airport (MLE)
Upon arrival at Malé airport (Velana International) in the Maldives and after completing security procedures to enter the arrivals hall, a resort guide will be there to welcome you, holding a sign for the resort. They will assist in directing you to the designated location for your onward transfer to Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort and can offer support with your luggage as needed.
Your onward journey will depend on your choice between a seaplane or a domestic transfer:
Option 1 - Seaplane to Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort
Your resort guide will assist you and your belongings into a vehicle for transportation to the Noovilu Seaplane Terminal (NSPT), where the Raffles Lounge is conveniently located - just a few minutes' drive away. Upon reaching the terminal, you'll be able to check in and await your seaplane flight. In the meantime, you can take in close-up views of the seaplanes or indulge in the luxuries of the lounge.
Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort partners with Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) for guest transportation via seaplanes. TMA boasts the world's most extensive seaplane fleet and maintains a strong reputation for reliability.
Once aboard the seaplane, the estimated flight duration is around 90 minutes. However, the transfer may be slightly extended if the plane makes stops to drop off guests at other resorts along the journey.
Seaplanes make a water landing just off the resort island. Upon arrival, guests disembark onto the arrivals jetty and can easily walk to the island. Resort staff will be available to assist guests and handle luggage throughout the process.
Option 2 - Domestic Transfer to Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort
Your airport butler will accompany you to the domestic airport lounge, where you can relax and enjoy complimentary refreshments while awaiting your flight to the atoll's domestic airport. Take advantage of the complimentary Wi-Fi and a selection of food and beverages during your wait.
Kaadhdhoo Airport (KDM) is the closest domestic airport to the Raffles Maldives Resort. Maldivian, the country's primary domestic carrier, operates regular flights to this destination. Their fleet includes air-conditioned ATR-72 and ATR42 turboprop aircraft, as well as Dash 8-200 and Dash 8-300 aircraft, known for their sturdy design and reliability.
The direct flight to Kaadhdhoo Airport typically takes around 55 minutes, you will then be met by a Raffles butler who will direct you to the marina for the 10-minute speedboat journey to the resort.
