How to get to The Standard Huruvalhi

The Standard Huruvalhi is accessible from Malé airport by a single mode of transport: a scenic 40-minute seaplane flight, offering breath-taking aerial views of the Maldives' turquoise waters and lush atolls.

Due to the considerable distance between Malé and the resort, there are no boat-only transfers available, making the seaplane the most efficient and picturesque option for reaching the island.

The Standard Huruvalhi Location

The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives is located in the south of the Raa Atoll, approximately 147 kilometres (92 miles) northwest of Malé.

Your Arrival at Malé Airport (MLE)

Upon arrival at Malé airport (Velana International) in the Maldives, after completing security procedures and exiting into the arrivals hall, you'll receive a warm welcome from a resort guide holding a wooden sign displaying the resort name. They'll assist you in locating the designated check in area for your onward transfer to The Standard Huruvalhi and can also help with your luggage.

Seaplane to The Standard Huruvalhi

Your resort guide will assist you and your belongings to a vehicle headed for the nearby seaplane terminal. Once there, you can complete the check-in process and await your seaplane flight. This interlude offers an opportunity to admire the seaplanes up close or relax in the comfort of the Trans Maldivian Airways VIP lounge. Access to the lounge requires advance noticed for booking.

The Standard Huruvalhi partners with Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) seaplanes for transfers to the resort. TMA boasts the world's largest seaplane fleet and a stellar reputation for reliability.

Once aboard the seaplane, expect a flight duration of approximately 40 minutes. However, if the plane makes stops to drop off guests at other resorts along the route, the overall transfer time may be slightly extended.

Seaplanes touch down on the water near Huruvalhi. Upon arrival, guests disembark onto a floating seaplane platform and are then ferried by boat to the shores of Huruvalhi.
